I had been trying to alleviate my back pain for over 20 years through multiple medical avenues when my chiropractor referred me to EquiVita for massage therapy. During therapy it was suggested that I augment massage with strength training. I was quite doubtful seeing that I had been in physical training before, but I was willing to try. I desperately wanted to lift and wrestle with my young son. To my amazement the EquiVita solution solved my back pain problem where other programs could not. I am now doing things I have not been able to do since I was 20 years old. Some may want to try traditional approaches first, but when that doesn’t work, come to EquiVita. It’s not a quick fix, but then good things seldom are. It is a lot of hard work. They do a great job and I would recommend them to others. I’ve been coming for several years.

I had always considered having a massage a way to pamper myself when I was on vacation. But, it is so much more.
The massage therapists at EquiVita are great. They understand how stressed or tight muscles and connective tissue in the body relate to pain. It is not so obvious to a lay person, but I am learning.
Recently I experienced aggrevating pain on the outside of one knee. I begged the massage therapist to work on my knee. However, she knew that source of the pain was not in my knee but near my hip. Then she targeted the massage to the right place to relieve the pain. Thank goodness!
I don’t know where all of these aches and pains are coming from as I get older. I am thankful to discover that massage along with regular physical training have made them manageable for me.
I LOVE the EquiVita massage therapists; thank you, thank you, thank you. I now have a therapeutic massage every 2-3 weeks. They keep me going!

My experience with massage began in 2007 when my close friend gave me an EquiVita gift certificate after my husband died. I had been working out for 2 years with personal trainers but never felt the need for massage, probably because I had no idea what I was missing. As I began running longer distances I scheduled massage appointments after my longer training runs, 8-10 miles. When I decided to train for a full marathon in 2009, massage became my monthly friend following even longer training runs and Cheryl was my very best friend on race day afternoons (right after the chocolate milk!). When EquiVita began offering memberships with free 30 minute monthly massage it was clear to me that I had been missing the most important components of my training: the relief from pain, release of tension, reduction of stress and very simply how to relax and enjoy my accomplishments.

I've enjoyed many a massage at the hands of Cheryl and Barbara. They are professional, kind, caring, fun and considerate of any special needs you may have. Also, one day I had a very painful problem with my left shoulder and Cheryl, along with help from Adam, made the problem disappear. I had been in agony all day at the office and called to cancel my training session because of the shoulder pain. They are "good people"! I highly recommend them and the benefits of routine massages.

"I enthusiastically recommend Cheryl Harris to anyone seeking the physical and mental benefits of a deep tissue massage. As is 'The Equivita Way,' Cheryl takes time to make me feel comfortable and learn about my needs, custom-tailoring the massage to deliver the most benefit. There is no skimping and no shortcuts, so when you consider all the benefits (relaxation, freer movement, mental focus, and many more), the 'Cheryl Experience' is a tremendous value. I recommend a 60 or 90 minute massage. 30 minutes is just a tease!"
