Nicole Barbour
Group Exercise Instructor
Boot Camp, Cardio Blast and Core Conditioning

Nicole grew up in Columbus and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Education at The Ohio State University. During college, she competed in rowing, cycling and triathlons and worked for the Department of Recreational Sports. She taught high school for a year after graduating but was laid off and moved to Florida to start a branch of a tutoring company. While there, she obtained certification to become a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor and worked part-time at a gym. She’s worked with clients of all ages and abilities, and I taught a variety of classes. I soon found that I enjoyed working in this field more than in academic education. I recently moved back from Florida to be close to my family and friends. I am passionate about fitness and enjoy helping others reach their goals! She is also an endurance athlete and enjoys outdoor sports. She is energetic, encouraging and values her relationships with members and clients.

Dionysia is thrilled to be joining the EquiVita team! With a BFA in Acting/Musical Theatre from Wright State University,
Dionysia has enjoyed performing professionally in a variety of musicals all over the country and the world.  She recently
returned to her home state of Ohio and has since performed with Short North Stage and CATCO-Phoenix. She is also
on faculty at BalletMet Dance Academy where she teaches jazz, tap, hip hop, and theatre dance. Dionysia first
encountered Zumba while living in New York City and was wowed by how much fun it was but also was impressed by
the amazing cardio and toning benefits from the class. Growing up as a dancer always in dance class she was excited
to have found another great way to workout that kept a smile on her face! Dionysia became a ZIN Zumba Instructor
once she landed in one place and has been teaching since 2011. Her class offers super fun choreography with smooth
transitions, catchy tunes, “how to shake it” tips, helpful modifications with focus on proper alignment, new elements to
keep things fresh, contagious energy, and tons of smiles! So come on in and let loose with an amazing Zumba workout
with Dionysia!

Sara Wislocki
Group Exercise Instructor
Booty Barre

My name is Sara, I am a proud Purdue University alumni (Boiler UP!), a 25 years old "mom" to two dogs, and, soon-to-be, loving wife to my partner-in-crime! :)

Fitness has always been a part of my life, especially through the form of dance. I started dancing when I was 12 years old. I started when I auditioned for my middle school's first dance team and quickly fell in love with movement. I asked my parents to enroll me in dance at our local community center, which really started my love affair with dance. I took modern, lyrical, and jazz throughout my middle school and beginning high school years. I then shifted to focus on my high school dance team and before I knew it, I was off to Purdue!

While at Purdue my love for dance became more of a way of life. Though my major was in interior design, I spent most of my free time involved with the Purdue Contemporary Dance Company. While at Purdue, I took all levels of Modern, Jazz, Improvisation, Choreography, and practicum (choreographing for the main stage). Going through the dance program and performing multiple times a semester was perfection for me. Then, I graduated, and "real life" began.

Upon graduation I moved to Dallas, Texas and taught at a charter school where I was also in charge of the dance club. Teaching was great and very rewarding, however I didn't care for the whole disciplinarian aspect of teaching middle school aged children- adults are more my style. Even though I had this, movement had fallen out of my life due to a hectic work schedule and no "me time."

Before I knew it, a year and a half passed and my partner-in-crime got a fantastic offer with his company and was relocated to Laredo, Texas. Having to decide between my man and my job, it wasn't even a contest. I moved to Laredo with Nate. At first I was a little lost since I could not find a job in my field, but I did find a lovely family whom needed a nanny. Living in Laredo, movement was starting to creep back into my life. Inspired by my best friend who had become addicted to yoga, I decided to take a hot yoga class at a local studio, Casa Yoga.

Casa Yoga became EXACTLY what I was searching for. It was a place where like-minded individuals would go to practice their yoga, exchange ideas about nutrition, and just support each other in their own journey to health and fitness. I loved it. I felt like I always did when I was taking dance at Purdue. After practicing there for several months, the amazing owner offered to give me a position if I were to become certified to teach Booty Barre- so I did!

I became certified in the Booty Barre method, which is a low impact, high intensity group fitness program. It is perfect for me because it blends yoga, pilates, and dance into a fun, energetic workout that is both challenging and relaxing while creating the calorie burn I had become addicted to via Hot Yoga. I started teaching Karma Classes (free classes to the public & free for me to teach) to gain instruction practice and then life happened. My fiance was offered yet another fantastic opportunity in the Dallas area with his company that we could not pass up. At the beginning of October, 2012 we moved from Laredo back to Dallas.

What was unforeseen was the short amount of time that we would actually spend in Dallas. However, while there I shifted my focus from group fitness to single personal training sessions. This too was very rewarding in that I LOVE to teach people about how to have a healthy lifestyle. I LOVE to help people achieve their goals and to make them feel accomplished and better about themselves. However, after two short months, and due to out of control circumstances, we were moved again at the end of December to the Columbus, Ohio area.

This brings us to the present. I feel fortunate to have met Adam and the EquiVita team who have been so welcoming! I am ready and excited to get everyone involved with movement and The Booty Barre!
