Thai Massage is sometimes referred to as “Passive Yoga”, because in a Thai Yoga Massage session the practitioner moves your body through a series of stretches (postures).
In the art of Thai Yoga Massage the focus is on the mobility of your joints. A Thai Yoga Therapist takes the time to slowly guide your limbs through range of movement and gently hold your body in assisted yoga poses with light pressure on your feet. While providing gentle massage and stretching to reduce stress and cultivate a deeper felt sense of relaxation in your body.
What to expect?
You will be lying restfully, in a dimly lit room, on the floor for the entirety of the Thai Yoga Massage on a comfortable massage cushion and supported with specific yoga bolsters and props. Hanna will provide the time to discuss the process as well as any specific considerations with you to ensure the maximum benefit of the massage. During the massage, she will move your body through a series of full body movements that stretches out your body and releases tension. While resting in certain stretches, Hanna will apply pressure with her palms and fingers to diminish tension in your body in a deeper way.
How to prepare?
Wear comfortable loose-fitted clothing that you feel are your most comfortable in and bring water. Everything else is provided for you.
For a 60 minute session, I would prepare for 75 minutes of time. For a 90 minute session, I would prepare for 105 minutes of time. This is to help ensure you allow yourself time after to ease back into your day.
60 minute sessions $105.00 ($89.25 member)
90 minute sessions $150.00 ($127.50 member)
