Initial Fitness Review
Over the years, we’ve heard clients use the word ‘train’ to address many aspects of its scope. ‘To train’ can mean to prepare for an event, to adapt from an injury, to shape up, or break in...let’s say to a powerful and vital body. We put a premium on providing options to people looking for ways to train their body.
Adam constructed the Initial Fitness Review™ to surface the biomechanics of your body. Biomechanics (study of the mechanical laws relating to the movement or structure of living organisms) is the foundation of the training this company offers. When someone is careful to ask quality questions about the actions and forces that occur or have occurred in your body, the answers can be quite illuminating. We assess the state and integration of your posture, flexibility, circumferential measurements and exercise history. From our experience, a good biomechanical assessment is most responsive to the need to intervene where an individual experiences pain, as well as performance goals. Your body’s muscle and bone structure affect what exercises you should do, and how to do them. During this 2-hour assessment we will also teach you about the five keys of fitness and help you to decide which areas you want to emphasize (when was the last time you spent 2 hours with a health professional for your preventative health?).
The results of this process are combined with your vision of the ‘healthy you’ that you want to target. From this foundation, we can customize a program that will maximize the efforts directed at reaching individual focus while reducing risk of injury. When you are finished, you will leave with an exercise plan that you understand. We will teach you about your body’s needs and what will work for you.
For this comprehensive initial assessment we ask that you plan for 2 hours of time. The Initial Fitness Review is a stand-alone service and it does not require that you sign-up for other EQUIVITA services.
