Focus on Transitional Fitness, Focus on You: Creating an Environment for Change
Transitional Fitness is a model that incorporates a variety of methods to create an environment that
allows your body to change. Transitional Fitness starts with your body as it is, and develops a plan for
where you want to be.
What's Metabolism Got to Do with Our Health?
There is so much information and misinformation about our bodies, that it is nearly impossible to sift
through it to determine what is right for you. Metabolism is the sum total of all the chemical processes in
the body. Muscle cells are very energy expensive for the body to maintain. Since muscle is expensive to
maintain, the body tries to maintain as little muscle as possible.
Making the Right Choices for Your Body
Proper positioning during exercise is more important than the amount of exercise. It is paramount to
function and to appearance. You cannot create a balanced body without specifically exercising to
strengthen the weaker areas. Finding the weaker areas is critical.

What is this new Model of Fitness? Transitional Fitness was originally created as a step progressing

individuals who have not had or needed physical therapy, individuals who are not realizing the results
that they are expecting from their fitness efforts, and those interested in starting exercise and reducing
the risk of injury.

that the current distraction. You are the person who is deciding what your life is right now. And those
